So, it’s been about five weeks since I’ve been active on McKinley Modern’s social media. In that time, many very necessary changes have occurred to stabilize both business and personal life.

The biggest change was relocation (Yes, again 😂). Not outside of Chicago, but to our desired neighborhood within the city. My little family and I , dreaded the moving process the entire summer. Like it lingered in our minds knowing that it was coming eventually and quite honestly prevented me from being outside like I wanted to….

After my bestie's wedding I was in full blown relocation mode while still maintaining Corporate America life, dog mom life, entrepreneur life. All while taking care of my mental, physical and spiritual well-being.

And it got to be a bit much. I’m truly a perfectionist and my own worst critic and I don’t like to approach McKinley Modern like it’s another task on the list (I do enough of that in my career). But rather, a passion project that I enjoy and happen to capitalize off of while being creative. So I decided to put MM on auto pilot for a brief moment to get all my back end obligations together and thrive in this new season.

And here we are ☺️. I’m back feeling rejuvenated and ready to flood the streets with some heat. McKinley Modern is so thankful for the supportive and understanding tribe that surrounds our vision. And those that know that sometimes life just happens and you have to face it head on.

We are still transforming to be everything we aspire to be and more! As the saying goes, Change is inevitable but growth is optional. 🤎
